​Overview

Model - 77 is a 3.5way floor standing loudspeaker with a dedicated tweeter, midrange and dual bass drivers. Both bass drivers cover the lowest octaves, with the upper of the two extending into the mid bass to hand over seamlessly to the dedicated midrange.

An air motion transformer is used for the upper frequencies as this design allows for an ultra light diaphragm and an electromagnetic force that is highly linear when compared to a conventional dome tweeter or ribbon. This results in lower distortion and a higher dynamic range, both key to achieving an authentic, true to life sound.

Both the 6" dedicated midrange and the two 7" bass drivers have been designed to ensure the force driving each speaker cone is highly linear through its range of motion. This ensures the dynamic range of transients are reproduced accurately, without compression, preserving the excitement and drama that makes music sound real and emotionally engaging.

Both midrange and bass drivers benefit from cutting edge design features and materials that preserve the linearity of the magnetic field, thus reducing both harmonic and intermodulation distortion.

The dual woofer design provides significant surface area for bass reproduction. This, combined with long, highly linear stroke motor designs provide exceptional cone control during transient peaks, providing an outstanding dynamic range, preserving the drama and excitement of the music.

Crossovers are optimised not only for reference level linearity, but for phase coherence thus preserving the leading and trailing edge definition of transients. Crossovers are also optimised to ensure consistency of sound regardless of amplifier choice. ​
